Layering stamped images is a fun way to add dimension to your scrapbooking layouts.

I’m showing examples from a scrapbook kit I designed using the Hillside Cottage paper packet and stamp set.  The nice thing about this stamp set is that you can mix and match the flower images with the leaves to create different image combinations.

Hillside Cottage stamp set, Close To My Heart

1.  Use foam tape to “pop” images off your layout

I stamped leaf images onto a tag and then stamped the heart and flowers onto white cardstock.  Next, I cut out each image, attached foam squares and added it on top of the leaves.

I repeated the stamping-cutting-layering technique on these pages.

2.  Use different colored inks to layer stamped images

If you don’t have foam tape, you can still “layer” images.  In the example below, I used different colored stamping inks on two different images (the leaf stems and flowers).  I stamped the stems first and then stamped the flowers, alternating ink colors.  Easy!
